Belleville Washers

Conical spring washers used under the head of a screw to maintain tension (compressive forces on the assembly) even during thermal expansion and contraction.

  • For mechanical (compression) mounting method.
  • Also known as Belleville disc springs
  • All of these Belleville washers are made of 302 stainless steel
  • Use a nested stack (parallel configuration) to increase load by the number of washers, but leave deflection equal to 1 washer.
  • Use an inverted stack (series configuration) to increase deflection by the number of washers, but leave load equal to 1 washer.
